The Aixsense team of RWTH Aachen has become more important and success after it triumphed in the international Sensus 2024 competition. This competition, which is organized by the Technical University of Eindhoven, attracted renowned universities from all over the world who presented their innovative solutions in the field of health technology.

At Sensus 2024, a total of 18 teams were represented who presented their point-of-care (POC) biosorial solutions. In addition to the RWTH Aachen, students from the Tokyo Institute of Technology were part of the Aixsense team, which underlines international cooperation in the field of engineering and biomedicine. This mix of different academic disciplines and cultures strengthens the skills and innovative strength of the team.

The Sensus competition is an integral part of the commitment of the RWTH Aachen, which actively participates in the development of transformative materials and technologies. Professor Sven Ingebrandt and Dr. Vivek Pachauri leads the team, while the central laboratory for micro and nanotechnology (ZMNT) offers technical support.
