RWTH Aachen triumphs at the 7th VDI Chemplant competition!

Universität Stuttgart, Deutschland - The RWTH Aachen triumphed at the 7th VDI Chemplant competition and defends its title! On September 26 and 27, 2024, creative procedural engineers at the University of Stuttgart presented innovative approaches to the sustainable production of butcidates. Over 20 university teams submitted their concepts, eight of which were selected for the final presentation. Under the critical look of a specialist jury, the teams showed their ideas with a lot of creativity and humor.

The RWTH team convinced with a technically detailed concept and a professional presentation, followed by a mixed team from TU Berlin, TU Graz and Kit. The FAU Erlangen team took third place. "We are proud of the many committed teams," said Vivien Manning, managing director of the VDI specialist company. The competition, which attracted a premium of 1,000 euros for the best teams and 500 euros for the best presentation, promotes the cooperation between science and industry and aims to develop creative solutions for future challenges.
