Schumag AG in the crisis: Refurbishment after cyber attack started!
Schumag AG from Aachen sees itself in a crisis! After a devastating cyber attack at the end of September 2024 and falling sales, the company has now submitted an application for renovation in self -administration to the Aachen district court. Despite the financial imbalance, the management remains in office during the procedure and is supported by renovation experts. The business continues unhindered, and the approximately 450 employees can at least hope for secured wages and salaries through bankruptcy money.
The challenges are diverse: in addition to a difficult competitive environment, the cyber attack has led to production failures and tales of income that caused additional liquidity problems. Board of Directors Stefan Lepers expresses himself optimistically: "We are now using the renovation opportunities of bankruptcy law to intensify our restructuring." Schumag AG hopes to successfully play their strengths in high -precision fine mechanics in the future. For more information, See the current reporting on www.presseportal.de .
