chio 2024: The connection of creativity and community
In the run-up to the CHIO event, the “Tschio-Chic” competition is launched every year. The shop windows of the city region are decorated according to the motto of the equestrian sports tournament. Hotels and restaurants are also invited to develop their creativity and integrate this year's partner country USA. A true festival of imagination and integration into the community!
The wizards behind the scenes
A total of 36 participants ventured into the competition and offered their works to the public's judgment. Everyone had the chance to participate and present their ideas. The winners would not only be rewarded with prices, but also benefit from their creativity. The efforts paid off, as the impressive results show.
The radiant winners
The tension reached its climax when the voices were counted and the winners were determined. Gold went to the grocery store "Our Laser" from Rott, followed by the "Plassier" delicatessen from Eilendorf and the "photogenic" photo studio from Würselen. The Monschauer Chocolate House and the Aachen company Walbert-Schmitz were also among the top finishers.
Success was not only celebrated by the winners, but also by those who had given their vote. A trip to Dresden was raffled under them, and the happy winner, Karin Linneman from Herzogenrath, will soon experience the performance of Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" in the Semperoper.
The "Tschio-Chic" is a wonderful cooperation between the Aachen Medienhaus, the City (Mac) market and action group, the Aachener-Laurensberger Rennverein as well as the city and city region of Aachen. It shows how the community can grow closer together through creativity and commitment.
