Judgment of the Indian Main Night: Process for knife attacks soon decided
court ruling on the incidents on the Mainacht in Inden is facing
At the Aachen District Court, the judgment on the tragic events in the Main Night is expected today. The six defendants are accused of being involved in a discussion in the night of May 1, 2023 at celebrations in Inden/Altdorf, in which four people were injured by knife stings. One of the people concerned even hovered in mortal danger.
The trial started last September and should have originally been a judgment in November. However, the large number of witnesses and the complexity of the incidents over several hours led to additional days of negotiations. Now, after the evidence is intensively examined, the court will announce its decision at 1 p.m.
Such a judgment not only affects the accused and their families, but also on the entire community of Inden/Altdorf. Violent incidents at celebrations are a serious topic that not only affects those directly affected, but also the security and well -being of the entire population.
