Exciting flights of height: Aero Fly-in on Lake Constance inspires aviation fans!
The roar of a star engine that hovers in the air makes the heart of every aircraft lover beat faster. So the Aero Fly-in, an impressive event that took place on the last weekend in August at the airfield in Aalen-Elchingen. Here, in the picturesque backdrop of Baden-Württemberg, lovers of aviation gathered for an unforgettable experience that presented both exciting historical aircraft and innovative modern aircraft.
Around 60 machines had gathered for this fascinating meeting. Among the aircraft were remarkable historical models, such as the Messerschmitt BF-108 TAIFUN and a formation from Klemm 25, Klemm 35 and Klemm 107. However, the highlight of the event was the Casa 1.131, a Spanish license building of the legendary Bücker Jungmann, which in an impressive appearance has experienced the depths of aviation history.
combination of past and future
The motto "Future meets History" was not only celebrated in the announcements, but also by an impressive list of modern aircraft that got into the air. So those present experienced the AT 01, an innovative sailor from Augsburg, which is equipped with a FES drive. At the same time, the pipistrel Taurus, an electric plane, moved into airspace and celebrated progress in the area of emission -free flying. The Elektra Solar Trainer, which was seen as a Static display, illustrated what was currently achieved in electrical flight engineering.
The event not only offered a variety of attractions in the sky, but also on the ground. The Hangar of Luftspace South opened its gates for visitors and presented some real treasures of aviation, including planes such as Pilatus P-3 and the Hispano Aviación HA-1112, which is considered the Spanish license version of the BF-109. There were also informative conferences on topics such as electrical flights and human factors that are the main cause of accidents in aviation. In addition, the exhibitors, such as Eisenschmidt.aero, were very well received by visitors and pilots.
The event formed an important intersection for all aviation enthusiasts and also attracted many “non -flying civilians”. Aero project manager Tobias Bretzel emphasized that the audience areas were well filled, which indicates a strong interest in aviation. During the conversation, he said that the first day of the Fly-In was more than successful.
A look into the future
A small drop of bitterness remained: Attresses were only allowed until 11 a.m. and departures from 6 p.m., which might have held some spontaneous visitors. This fact could be improved next year if the event is repeated. Despite this little obstacle, the pilots were enthusiastic about the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and to exchange ideas for flying.
The Aero Fly-in is moving closer to the aviation showing aerial aviation and thus compensates for a gap that could hardly be closed over the past few years on Lake Constance. In cooperation with the air portrait Aalen, an event was created that is not only important for the aeronautics community, but also gives an insight into the development of the aviation. The positive reactions of the participants give hope for a promising sequel in the coming year.
