new foundation supports children and young people in Aalen with 30,000 euros

A new fund, the Brüder-Heiner Foundation, was launched to support children and adolescents in Aalen. The initiators of the foundation are the closely connected brothers Gerhard and Hartmut Heiner. Gerhard was a physics teacher and Hartmut managing director at the IHK Ostwürttemberg, but his passion was the guardian of sheep.

After her death, the proceeds from her estate flowed to the foundation. Hartmut Heiner had the idea of supporting disadvantaged young people, and the foundation is to release 20,000 euros annually to children and youth projects in Aalen. The city of Aalen increases the funding amount by a further 10,000 euros.

The funding is aimed at non -profit organizations, associations, schools and individuals who offer projects for and with Aalen children and adolescents. Applications can be made on the homepage of the city of Aalen.

The board member suggested that the youth council (JGR) should decide on the award ceremony. Kevin Erath, member of the JGR, thanked for the trust and emphasized that the youth council has already proven to be a reliable body in other topics. A five -member jury was ordered to select the project applications.

The final selection of the projects will be announced in a public meeting in autumn 2024. Mayor Frederick Brütting emphasized the importance of the foundation and praised the Heiner brothers for their commitment in Aalen. The foundation also enables provisions for other supporters in Aalen.

The Gebrüder-Heiner Foundation offers a great way to promote the development of children and young people in Aalen. Projects can be submitted via the website of the city of Aalen by September 30th. It is encouraging to see how the community is committed to the future of young people.
