Triathlete Joachim Krauth: proud to the finish line after breakdowns on Hawaii!
Kona, Hawaii, USA - Joachim Krauth, the triathlete from Aalen, had a consuming experience at the Ironman World Cup in Kona, Hawaii. Despite all the adversities, including a record right at the beginning of the bike route, Krauth managed to cross the finish line in a respectable time of 9:25 hours. The breakdown cost him around 12 minutes, but then he found his rhythm again. "I rarely suffered that and I am proud to have been through it despite the circumstances," said the 35-year-old, who ends his top sports career with this competition.
Wohingegen Krauth fought for personal challenges, Patrick Lange set up the route record with an impressive run and secured the victory - for the third time in his career - with a time of an incredible 7:35:53 hours. A competition, shaped by ups and downs, shows once again how much patience and perseverance in triathlon are required report on www.schwaebische-post.de .
