In the past few days, several incidents have occurred in the Rems-Murr district, which indicated criminal activities and required the attention of the police. Among other things, a traffic accident without a driver's flight, the slump into a garden hut and the theft of a bicycle was reported. These incidents throw a light on the security situation in the region.

One of the most striking incidents occurred on Tuesday evening in Weinstadt-Schnait. Between 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., an unknown driver, probably with a truck, drove Lützestrasse towards Beutelsbach and damaged a pedestrian traffic light. This was demolished and the driver went unstoppably. The police are now investigating and asking the public for clues to the incident. Witnesses who have seen something are asked to report to the Waiblingen police station on 07151 950422

Burglary in Gartenhütte

Another incident concerns a break-in into a garden hut in Weinstadt-Endersbach. This broke a previously unknown perpetrator the castle of a garden hut in the upper Neuwiese in the period from Sunday evening 6:00 p.m. to Monday morning 9:00 a.m. The burglar came into the hut, but apparently did not steal anything. Despite the successful break -in, the perpetrator may have to be fled empty. The police station Weinstadt accepts information on suspicious persons or activities in the area on 07151 65061.

The third incident aims at the theft of a bike, which was recorded on August 27, 2024 at the Beutelsbach train station. Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., a black-oranges mountain bike from the Serious brand was stolen worth around 200 euros. The rightful user had previously parked the bike safely, but a witness noticed that the bike was twisted and that the original lock had been replaced by a pay lock of the perpetrator. This procedure suggests that the thief was quite familiar with the situation. The police are now looking for witnesses who have seen the perpetrator or the bike and asks for information.
