New ZF plant in Niederzissen: Hope for the region after flood disaster
The technology group ZF Friedrichshafen is planning a massive restructuring and deletes up to 14,000 jobs until 2028. But during the Gelsenkirchen location, the company will be promising its promise and started building a new work in Niederzissen, Rhineland-Palatinate on October 28. This work replaces the production in the Ahr Valley, which is badly damaged by the devastating flood disaster in 2021. ZF would like to secure the remaining 230 jobs in the Region.
Board member Peter Holdmann emphasized the importance of the new building for the future of employees and regional customers. Despite the tense situation in the company, Andy Becht from the Ministry of Economic Affairs sees the groundbreaking ceremony as a "milestone for the economic reconstruction of the Ahr Valley". In the future, damper technology will be produced on an area of 13,000 square meters. For further details on this topic, visit www.merkur.de .
