Orangery in Bad Neuenahr: Symbol of Hope for Flood!
In the Kurpark of Bad Neuenahr, the legendary orangery remains a central attraction, despite the challenges due to flood events. The orangery has already survived numerous floods, while the neighboring spa garden bridge was completely destroyed during the 2021 flood. Thanks to the new plans of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler Marketing GmbH (ABMG) and the Förderer Landscape architects from Essen, it is ensured that the orangery continues to attract attention.
When presenting the preliminary planning in the city council, it was emphasized that the orangery is preserved as an important element of the spa park in order to preserve the historical charm of the area. In addition, a new large fountain is planned in the event area, which should be in a vision axis to the orangery. The initiative plans are part of the extensive reconstruction of the spa park, which serves to maintain and beautify this historical site.
