Nursing professions in need: lack of specialist helpers in the Wittelsbacher Land!

In the Wittelsbacher Land region, an alarming situation is setting up - by 2029, over 100 nurses must be hired in inpatient facilities! According to Ingrid Hafner-Eichner, head of the nursing base in the district office, the lack of nursing staff is already noticeable. Therefore, the district organizes an information event on Friday, November 8th to draw attention to the training as a nursing assistant. Thomas Götz, nursing manager in the Gabriel house, emphasizes that one -year training is an excellent opportunity for beginners. But the reality is sobering: young people are hardly interested in nursing professions!

A significant change in the care sector is imminent: The new skilled company key stipulates that not 50 percent of the employees no longer have to be skilled workers. This means that the same number of employees are necessary per facility, but the distribution of tasks changes. Götz explains that the specialist helpers become an indispensable link between nursing staff and residents, which should significantly improve the working conditions of the skilled workers. But the difficult recruitment of nurses remains a central problem. The level of self -care of a facility is important, hesitating hope for relief in the industry. The district does everything they can to attract new talents with the "Gönn Nursing" event and to set a clear sign for the value of the nursing professions in order to achieve both school leavers and career changers. Details on the event and the training content are at www.augsburger-allgemeine.de to be found.
