Short -time work at Liebherr: Massive effects on Kirchdorf and the surrounding area!

Kirchdorf an der Iller, Deutschland - The short -time work grabs it! In the Ulm district, which comprises the city district of Ulm, the Alb-Donau district and the Biberach district, the number of employees in short work compared to the previous year has more than quadrupled. The Liebherr works in Biberach, Bad Schussenried and Ochsenhausen, which have already made adjustments, are particularly affected. Now Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH in Kirchdorf will follow up and will register short-time work from November 1st.

Marc Wiedenmann, marketing employee at Liebherr location Kirchdorf, confirms the working time reduction, which results from a noticeable decline in orders due to the "cooled economy". Recovery is currently not in sight: the short -time work is scheduled for six months, which means that the employees concerned work with fewer hours and possibly have to insert individual closing days. Even if Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH has a diversified product range, the decline in the order situation cannot be ignored. In Biberach, 1,000 and 300 workers are currently in short -time work in Bad Schussenried, while in Ochsenhausen this measure ended in March, where around 1,350 employees were affected.
