On Friday, January 10, 2025, an amocalar triggered a drastic commitment of the police and fire brigade at a primary school in the Schmargendorf district of Berlin. The alarm, which was triggered late Friday afternoon, was unclear whether it was an actual killing spree, a threat or possibly a false alarm. Emergency services examined the school building, while the police blocked the area far and asked the population to avoid the area. According to MAZ there are still primary students in the classrooms hidden.

The alarm had been triggered by a special alarm system that was intended for amo complaints. Fortunately, the police were able to confirm that there is no acute danger to the children or staff at school. The area around Reichenhaller Straße was blocked in both directions until the situation was clarified, and further information was still expected from the authorities.
