Two cars were on fire, while five other vehicles were damaged by the fire. According to a spokesman for the Berlin police, the firefighters were able to quickly control the fires. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The exact causes of the fire are still unknown. However, the spokesman excluded a connection with New Year's Eve, such as rbb24 reported.

efficient emergency services

In view of such missions, a well -functioning fire brigade is essential. The Berlin fire brigade recently put the “mobile respiratory protection route” (MOBAS) into service, which is a significant improvement for breathing apparatus wearers. This new equipment enables the firefighters to get directly to the annual stress exercises instead of having to drive long distances through the city. With this initiative, breathing apparatus wearers are trained more efficiently, since the MOBAS will approach regionally centrally located guards, in order to then bring the exercise participants together according to the star principle. As Berliner Feuerwehr , great value was placed on the standardized training environment to optimize the training of the emergency services.
