During New Year's Eve, Berlin-Schöneberg led to a devastating explosion that seriously damaged at least three houses. According to rbb24 , the detonation occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at the intersection of main street, Belziger and Vorbergstraße. Mobile phone videos show the massive explosion directly at the entrance of Vorbergstrasse 1, and the sight is shocking: load -bearing walls and windows, the front door torn out. The explosion, which was probably caused by a so -called ball bomb, left a scene, which was described by a fire brigade spokesman as a "battlefield". What exactly triggered the explosion is still unclear, but the excesses with illegal fireworks once again show the dangers that are connected with it. A police spokesman confirmed that there are information on the use of a ball bomb, while the fire brigade and police continue to work on securing the danger site.
