New research center in Vienna: The Complexity Science Hub opened!

On March 5, 2025, the new location of the Complexity Science Hub (CSH) in the Palais Springer-Rothschild in Vienna was ceremoniously opened. With over 2,000 square meters, a modern home is now available for the scientists: inside, researching complex questions on topics such as epidemics, care crises and resilience within companies. Vienna's City Councilor Veronica Kaup-Hasler emphasized the importance of investing in research and innovation, while Christine Dornaus, managing director of the Federal Real Estate Society, celebrated the handover of the keys and praised the architectural uniqueness of the building. At the central celebration, guests from science, business, politics and culture came together; The Combo Mozuluart, which harmoniously combined traditional Zulu sounds with classical music, provided musical accompaniment.

With the new location, the CSH also sets new focuses on content. The CSH Digital Innovation School is supported by various ministries and is intended to train the next generation of experts: inside that drive digital transformations. In addition, practical approaches remain relevant: The 'Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria' develops solutions for securing supply chains, while the startup 'IKNAIO' specializes in blockchain analysis and crypto forensics. These developments underline that the CSH also addresses concrete social challenges beyond theoretical concepts.
