New knowledge in the Kezhia case: Tino B. Finally in prison

A long-awaited decision was made in the case of murder on 19-year-old Kezhia when the Federal Court of Justice in Leipzig rejected Tino B.'s appeal as "unfounded". Thus, the judgment against the 45-year-old is final and a new negotiation is excluded.

After Tino B. was sentenced to life in prison on January 29, 2024, he can now be carried out by the custody are relocated to the regular prison in order to start his penalty of initially 15 years. In addition, his lawyer plans to assert the civil claims for the victim's family.

In addition to lifelong prison sentence, Tino B. was sentenced to additional payments. He has to pay 40,000 euros in pain and suffering to Kezhia's surviving dependents and 6000 euros for funeral costs.

The murder of Kezhia had shaken the Klötze and all of Germany when Tino B. was demonstrated that the young woman killed the body with over 30 knife stings on March 4, 2023. Despite the attempt to defend the victim's debt, the accused was sentenced to life in prison for insidious murder.

This tragic case shows the need for consistent law enforcement and also the importance of adequately compensating for victims of acts of violence. Hopefully the decision of the court helps to create justice for Kezhia and her family.
