Altötting. Sister Silvana's life, which was characterized by deep faith and tireless effort for child promotion, came to an end on August 9, 2023 after a long illness. At 84, she not only leaves people who loved them, but also indelible traces in the region's educational landscape.

Sister Silvana, born as Theresia Kainz on May 29, 1940 in Hengersberg, grew up as the seventh of twelve children in a Christian family. Her upbringing and family values formed her way of life, which made her devote herself to the pedagogical field. For over 45 years she was involved in kindergartens in Passau, Neuötting and Burghausen and became an important caregiver for numerous children and their parents.
