Organizer Christian Mohr has set itself the goal of further increasing the challenge for the athletes and offers the audience an exciting spectacle.

For the second edition, Mohr has tried even more stronger occupation of the drivers. "We took a step up this year," he emphasizes. The difference to the premiere last year is particularly visible in the speed of the route and the overall organization. "The route is faster than predicted, less winding and more spectacular," explains Mohr. Speeds of up to 60 km/h are expected, which makes the race particularly exciting.

The circuit, which is not only beautiful, but also technically demanding, brings the cyclists to their physical limits. The cobblestone pavement, a traditional feature of the old town, is an additional challenge. Racing bike tires have to strive to ensure optimal liability. In this context, the audience has the opportunity to experience the racing up close and take an impressive view of the athletes.

On Friday, the eliminator competition is on the program, in which the drivers have to drive on mountain bikes on various obstacles. This not only offers the athletes a completely different challenge, but also the spectators another exciting event in the context of the cyclodome. Saturday decides on the event with the City Hill Climb for the Hohensalzburg fortress, a spectacular competition that requires the best techniques in uphill.

The combination of sportiness, strategic thinking and a picturesque setting makes the old town criterion a highlight in the racing calendar. The organizers and athletes expect many fans who come to support. It remains to be seen how the individual drivers will beat on the demanding route, but one thing is certain: the cycling community is ready for an exciting weekend in Salzburg.
