The fascinating world of all-round artist Benno Hauber: A look at his moving life and work

Benno Hauber - A look at the artistic heritage of Erdings

In 2024 the talented artist Benno Hauber would have been 100 years old. His work not only shaped Erd's art scene, but also left a permanent track in the entire region. Hauber was much more than just a painter. His works, starting from the famous Sgraffitos on the facades of the old town to his sculptors and sculptures, testify to his diverse talent. In addition, he created designs for ex Libris, logos for companies and shops and much more.

In order to appreciate the impressive life and work of this all-round artist, a working group of employees from the Museum Erding, the Museum Franz Xaver Stahl and private individuals have dealt intensively with his person for almost two years. They searched archives, carried out research and interviewed contemporary witnesses to get a comprehensive picture of Benno Hauber.

A special highlight will be the lecture by Albrecht Gribl, who wrote a book over 340 pages of Hauber's moving life. He will present this work at the invitation of the Historical Association Erding. It offers a unique way to dive deeply into the work and personality of this exceptional artist.
