Bikes stolen in Amberg: Police are looking for witnesses for thefts
At the weekend there were two incidents of bicycle thefts in Amberg, which the local police called on the scene. In the night from Saturday to Sunday, exactly between September 7th and 8th, two high -quality mountain bikes disappeared, despite the attempts from their owners, to secure them with locks.
The first incident occurred on Hans-Thoma-Straße, where a 31-year-old Amberger had parked his blue mountain bike from the Kilimanjaro brand, worth 300 euros. He had secured it with a spiral lock. Nevertheless, the bike had disappeared the next morning. This unpleasant experience is not only a financial loss for the owner, but also a feeling of uncertainty in the neighborhood.
The second theft series
A few hours later, and only a few streets away, further theft occurred. In Moritzstrasse, a Cube Mountain bike worth 770 euros was stolen from a community basement of an apartment building. The 43-year-old owner had safely parked and completed his bike in the basement, but when he saw on Sunday morning, this bike was also missing. Such incidents are alarming and show that thieves seem to act increasingly cheeky and organized.
The Amberg police inspection immediately became active and has started the investigation in both cases. The investigators are now looking for witnesses who may have observed something suspicious. Anyone who has information about the incidents or can provide information is asked to report on 09621/890-0.
bicycle thefts are a growing problem in urban areas. These two incidents underline how important a suitable securing of bicycles is, even with additional measures such as locks. Often it is not only the material loss and financial damage that burden those affected, but also the associated loss of trust and security in their own living environment.
With the increasing popularity of bicycles, especially high -quality models, the theft of bikes is becoming increasingly a problem. For many people who rely on their bicycle as a means of transportation, the loss is not only a financial setback, but also a significant restriction of their mobility. Common efforts by the police and the population are necessary to reduce the number of unreported cases of these crimes and to prevent such incidents in the future.
