300 drivers too fast: speed controls ensure high fines

over 300 drivers too quickly on A9 and B100

Last Friday and Saturday, more than 300 drivers were flashed during two speed controls on the A9 and B100, as the central traffic and motorway service in Dessau announced on Monday. This once again illustrates the importance of speed limits and controls for security on our streets.

The first control took place on the B100 near Schlaitz, where 42 of a total of 718 measured vehicles exceeded the permitted maximum speed of 70 km/h. The leader was flashed at 179 km/h, which is far above the permissible limit. Such excessive speeds are not only dangerous, but can also lead to high fines, points in Flensburg and a driving ban.

On Saturday, further control was carried out on the A9 between the Vockerode and Dessau-Ost junction. Of the 10,335 vehicles passing by, 281 were recorded due to speeding speeds. The fastest was on the road at 208 km/h, which is clearly a risky behavior in road traffic. Here, too, fines, points and driving bans are the possible consequences.

It is important that drivers adhere to the speed limits in order not only to ensure their own safety, but also that of the other road users. The police will continue to carry out controls to ensure compliance with the traffic rules and make the streets safer.
