In Anhalt-Bitterfeld there is reason to be happy, because in the first one and a half weeks since the obstetrical area was reopened in the Goitzsche Clinic, seven babies were born. Bernhard Spring, spokesman for the district's health center, confirmed that all births went smoothly and both the babies and the mothers are well.

Obstetrics in the Goitzian clinic is not only accessible to expectant mothers from Bitterfeld-Wolfen and the Altkreis Bitterfeld, but also for women from the Goitzsche region, North Saxony and the Dübener Heide. This creates an important contact point for medical care in the area.

The successful reopening of obstetrics was even examined by the Minister of Social Affairs Petra Grimm-Benne when she recently exchanged her with the leading midwife Jutta Laufer-Wilhelmi.

Jutta Laufer-Wilhelmi, the leading midwife, is happy about the restart: "We are very happy to support the women at birth and to give birth to the babies." Anja Kutscher, senior physician of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, is also satisfied and emphasizes the smooth cooperation between the various medical facilities for optimal newborns.
