Last Friday evening, two questionable incidents occurred in Magdeburg, in which unknown slogans called. The police announced that it was alerted several times for racist calls.

In one of the cases, an unknown person pulled the emergency brake in a tram in the early evening and left the vehicle and then called racist slogans. Because of their connection to the time of National Socialism, these slogans are prohibited and represent a serious threat to public security.

It is alarming that such incidents still take place in our society. The use of anti -constitutional slogans stirs up hatred and division and must not be tolerated in any form. It is important that the authorities consistently take action against such violations and take account of those responsible.
