Reni Richter elected as the new district manager in Lausitz - IGBCE News
The district of Lausitz has a new district manager from March 1, 2024. Reni Richter was elected by the district board to the new woman at the top. She succeeds Ute Liebsch, who will retire after ten years as district manager and chair of the district board.
Reni Richter, a native of Brandenburg, has been working as a union secretary for IGBCE for twelve years. After various stations in the organization, she has been involved in her work in the Lausitz district since 2022. She emphasizes that it has started to make the voice of the IGBCE members heard and to design perspectives for them, since the Lausitz faces special challenges.
The IGBCE is optimistic that the successful work of the district can be continued with the new district manager. Lusatia is an energy region and should remain one in the future. Reni Richter is seen as the right person to successfully design the transformation together with the IGBCE members and partners, says Stephanie Albrecht-Suliak, Landes district manager Nordost.

The state district of northeast comprises the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
