Police stop exhaust gas Schummler to A8: 1,000 euros in fine!
On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the Augsburg traffic police caught a driver of a small van on the A8 near Adelsried in Flagranti. With routine control, it turned out that the control unit of the exhaust gas cleaning system was manipulated. An alarming result: The van pushed massive amounts of exhaust gases that were far above the permissible values.
In the face of these serious environmental offenses, the officials immediately prevent the vehicle. Investigations are now underway for a violation of the Federal Immission Control Act, and the driver has to expect a sensitive fine of 1,000 euros. Another proof that the police are rigorously taking action against environmentally hazardous practices. For more information, See the current reporting on www.presseportal.de .
