Jena relies on green energy: 1,500 e-loading points by 2030!
Löbstedter Straße 68, 07749 Jena, Deutschland - The expansion of the green electricity charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Jena accepts rapid forms! In the coming year 2024, Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck will invest impressive 500,000 euros in e-loading points. There are currently 470 charging points available-a mix of public, semi-public and private charging options for tenants and local companies. "A comprehensive charging infrastructure is essential to anchor electromobility in everyday life," emphasizes Djamila Neutert from Stadtwerke.
The municipal utilities have set up 110 public green electricity charging points this year, including the latest on Platanenstrasse, Richard-Sorge-Straße and Erich-Weinert-Straße. Private households and companies also benefit from 360 other charging points in the city. By 2030, almost 1,500 charging points should be created in order to meet the increasing demand. This can also be seen in the 22,400 charging processes recorded until October - a clear trend towards electromobility! All information about the charging stations can be found in the Meinjena app and can be found on the website of the Stadtwerke according to Stadtwerke Jena .
