Denise Stripf becomes the first Palatinate wine queen with a male applicant!

Denise Stripf, 26 years old and social worker from Bad Dürkheim, was elected as the new Palatinate wine queen in an exciting finale. For the first time, a male candidate, Manuel Reuther from Forst, competed in competition, which is traditionally only intended for women. The election took place in the evening in Neustadt/Weinstraße, where a 70-member jury Stripf was chosen by Germany's second largest wine-growing region. This will represent Stripf the interests of the Palatinate in the next twelve months.

Although Reuther attracted a lot of attention, Lara Karr (23) from Weisenheim am Berg could not win the crown. Stripf's election was of national interest, especially after the recent appointment of a man to the wine king in Rheinhessen. For their participation, Reuther and Karr received a silver pin and the opportunity to accompany stripf at official events as "wine sovereigns". More details on this choice and the changes in the competition are find .
