Unforgettable excursion: Church choir discovered Bad Dürkheim's wine enjoyment!
Bad Dürkheim, Deutschland - In bright autumn weather, the Catholic church choir St. John XXIII undertook a trip to Bad Dürkheim on Saturday, October 19, 2024. There two city guides received the group and led them through the historical sights, especially the impressive graduation work. The interested singers learned that Bad Dürkheim, once owned by the Counts of Leiningen, is known as a health resort and today has the last surviving graduation work on a modern photovoltaic system.
After a contemplative tour, the day ended with a prayer in the St. Ludwig Church, led by Hedi Fieseler and Doris Bugert. Stefanie Zott-Brandis took over the musical accompaniment at short notice, since the choir director Christoph Wunderle was ill. Then the choir members visited the Fitz-Ritter winery, where they got to know the art of wine and champagne production and enjoyed the noble products during a tasting. Organized by Liane Helfrich-Zengi, the excursion offered a perfect mix of culture and enjoyment. A crowning conclusion was the choir's singing during the return trip before the members finally returned home with memories of a successful day. As early as October 27, 2024, the choir will be active again at the Reinhard-Mey service in the Apostelkirche. Details on this experience are Viernheim-online.de read.
