New dementia center in Wolfratshausen: Found property!
The current focus is on the planned new construction of a dementia center in Wolfratshausen, for which Workers' Welfare (AWO) has found a promising property. The crucial information came from a meeting of the building committee on Wednesday, September 11th. On the agenda, the "Presentation New Demenzzentrum" was noted as a central topic. This message has excited the region and throws a light on the current situation of the care facilities.
The existing AWO Desial Center on Paradiesweg, which opened in 1981 and renovated in 2004, becomes increasingly problematic due to outdated standards. The facility has been awarded several times for its concept, but does not meet the minimum requirements that have been determined since 2011 by the Bavarian law to regulate nursing, care and living quality. In particular, the guidelines for accessibility and single rooms cannot be feasible by converting, which underlines the urgency of a new building.
The search for the ideal location
Originally, the new building on an urban property was considered next to the business park on the Loisach, but legal restrictions due to immission protection requirements meant that this location was out of the question. As a result, the city councils committed to searching for a suitable place that meets both the requirements of the AWO and the legal provisions. It seems that the AWO is now available a suitable property in Weidach, north of the Gipsenweg.
Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner could not provide any more precise information in advance, while the spokeswoman for AWO Upper Bavaria referred to a specialist who was only available for inquiries in the coming week. This uncertainty has led to many citizens and interested parties waiting for the developments.
urgency and legal framework conditions
The city councils repeatedly emphasized that they would like to preserve the dementia center in Wolfratshausen. A new building must be realized by 2026, as it was often mentioned in the discussions. However, there was clarification on the part of the district office that this period is not binding. According to the official spokeswoman Marlis Peischer, AWO pursues the requirements of the Nursing and Living Quality Act with its plans. Under certain conditions, this provides for a maximum adjustment time of 25 years.
These developments are of great importance, not only for the residents of the current dementia center, but also for the entire community of Wolfratshausen. A new center could sustainably improve the care of people with dementia and bring new life to the region that is based on the latest maintenance and living standards.
So far there are still many open questions, and citizens and political decision -makers are looking forward to the progress in this respectable project. The AWO, known for its expertise in the social area, is optimistic and is determined to realize this necessary facility in Wolfratshausen.
