Baden-Baden activist: Assange archive opened in Dessau!

activists from Baden-Baden have held vigils for the release of Julian Assange for over five years. Under the motto "Freedom for Assange", around ten committed citizens gathered to present homemade posters and banners, collect signatures and get into conversation with passers -by. These persistent protests wore fruit when Assange was released from Belmarsh's high -security prison on June 25 of this year after the United States dispensed with its delivery.

Now many of their creative banners and posters are handed over to the new Assange archive in Dessau. For the official opening on October 31, the Baden-Baden activists travel to Dessau with a collection of materials, including balloons printed with demands and a striking T-shirt. The group describes the release of the journalist as a result of a global grass root movement and wants to continue the commitment to injustice. Historical comparison images from Assange show the effects of his long detention, and slogans on the banners demand freedom of the press and the protection of human rights.
