Rubbish container fires in Holzgerlingen and Weil: Is there a connection?

On Saturday evening, October 5, 2024, four dumpsters broke out on the grounds of a school on Schillerstrasse in Holzgerlingen. Witnesses discovered the fire around 11:00 p.m. when two containers already burned completely and the flames on two more attacks. The fire brigade was quickly on hand to fight the fire and have carried out reversal work due to again.

Just a few hours later, on Sunday morning at 1:25 a.m., the fire brigade and police were again alerted on a school premises in Weil im Schönbuch because of a burning dump. Two containers also burned here, and the facade of the school building was heavily dirty by the smoke. The fire brigade was also able to extinguish this fire quickly. There could be a connection between the two fires. Witnesses who have observed the suspicious are asked to contact the Böblingen police.
