Freiburg: serious accident on B34 - three drivers injured!

On Monday, September 30, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred at around 6 p.m. on federal road 34. A 59-year-old driver, apparently due to health problems, came into oncoming traffic and first collided with an oncoming van and then with another vehicle. The impact was violent: the car of the second driver was thrown off the street by the force of the collision and crashed into the wall of a front garden.

All three drivers, including a 62-year-old driver of the small van, were slightly injured and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. The damage to the vehicles adds up to around 50,000 euros. During the accident recording and the subsequent vehicle recovery, the federal road was closed in both directions, which led to considerable traffic disruptions. In addition to the police, the emergency services and the fire brigade were also in action.
