Dangerous goods accident on the highway: fire brigade secures delicious barrels!

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, there was an alarming incident at the border customs system of the highway around 4:20 p.m. A semitrailer that stood in the truck car park had a dangerous liquid left from a defective barrel. The emergency services reacted quickly: the area was cordoned off far, while the fire brigade secured 100 barrels with dangerous goods and the leaked material, a total of around 6 to 7 liters, quickly removed.

Three people who were near the leaked material were examined by rescue workers, but fortunately there was no danger to the population. Supported by the police, the emergency services and an employee of the Lörrach district office, the emergency services ensured security at the scene of the accident. In addition to dangerous goods management, the spacious barrier also led to considerable traffic disruptions on the highway and around the border customs system.
