Shocking traffic accident in Lörrach: cyclists and drivers seriously injured!

On Monday, October 7, 2024, a spectacular traffic accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. on Lörracher Strasse. A 76-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle, which could no longer be broken, when driving off Albertusstraße, and raced head-on to a 26-year-old cyclist. The man was thrown onto the bonnet of the car before he fell hard on the street.

The dramatic scenes only ended when the car driver's car collided with a tree and came to a standstill. Both those involved in the accident suffered serious injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital. The damage to vehicles and property is estimated at around 15,000 euros. In addition to the police and emergency services, the fire brigade was also on site to cope with the situation. The 76-year-old's car had to be towed because it was no longer ready to drive.
