Teachers quit masses: overload as an alarming signal!

Stuttgart, Deutschland - In 2023, 470 teachers in Baden-Württemberg terminated their job, which corresponds to an alarming increase of 20 percent compared to the previous year. Until the beginning of October, 434 teachers have already terminated their termination. The number of dismissals almost quadrupled compared to ten years ago when only 123 teachers ended their contracts. The FDP training expert Timm Kern described the situation as a "alarm signal". He criticizes the increasing bureaucracy and the growing burden on teachers who are increasingly reaching their psychological limits. Despite the alarming figures, the Ministry of Culture sees no need for action, which Kern considers insufficient.
