Bicycle accident and theft attempt: Police are looking for witnesses in Backnang
On Thursday there was a unfortunate incident in Backnang: a 7-year-old stuck his foot between pedals and frame of his bike and plunges on a pedestrian path in Marktstrasse. The boy injured himself slightly and was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Another incident occurred between Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening when a thief tried to steal the cash register of a flower level embedded in concrete with brutal violence. Despite a significant noise, the thief was unsuccessful, and the damage is estimated at 1500 euros. The police are looking for witnesses who have observed the incident.
On Thursday there were also two traffic accidents. In an accident at 2:45 p.m., a 78-year-old disregarded the right of 64-year-old BMW driver, which caused damage of around 11,000 euros, but both drivers were unharmed. Later, a 22-year-old collided with her VW at the Schorndorf-West junction with a Mercedes, whose driver had to avoid to avoid an accident. A subsequent Sprinter driver then crashed into the Mercedes, which led to damage of around 14,000 euros.
