Fraud mesh about Messenger: 59-year-old loses thousands of euros!
Steinheim am Albuch, Deutschland - A 59-year-old woman from the region was victims of a perfidious fraud stitch on Thursday afternoon (October 3). A stranger spoke about a messenger service as her daughter and claimed that her cell phone was broken, which is why she could not make a transfer. Believe that it was her real daughter, the woman transferred a four -digit amount to a bank account specified in Germany. Only later she recognized the fraud and filed a complaint with the police, but the money was already booked and did not get back.
The police urgently warns of those attempts to fraud that are increasingly spreading through messenger services. Potential victims should be suspicious of unknown senders, especially if they are asked for monetary claims. It is advisable not to reveal any personal information and, if in doubt, contact the police under number 110. More information about protection against phone fraudsters is in the brochure "Caution, rip -off!" Available that can be found at the local police station or online.
