Don't trust fake! 80-year-old loses thousands of fraudsters in Spain

An 80-year-old man from Ulm was the victim of a telephone fraud! On Sunday he received a message about a messenger service in which the sender spent his son. The supposed son claimed that his cell phone was broken and asked for a transfer to a Spanish bank account in the four -digit area. Convinced to help his real son, the senior transferred the money.

Only later did he find that he was on a fraudster and immediately filed a complaint with the police. His bank was also informed, which is now checking whether the transferred amount is possible. The police warn for caution: If in doubt, citizens should choose 110 or contact their local police station - please do not use the return function!
