Customs Ulm reveals illegal workers on fiber optic construction sites!

The main customs office Ulm has carried out nationwide controls on fiber optic construction sites around ULM in the past few weeks. 123 people were checked and 29 investigative procedures were initiated. Particularly explosive: Four Serbian and one Turkish worker who were equipped with Slovenian and French residence titles were illegally in Germany. The Turkish man was also banned from entry. Overall, the illegal employees had to pay for punitive security of 4,600 euros and were expelled from the country.

In Öschingen, the officials discovered several Brazilian workers without valid residence permit. The Portuguese employer was asked to pay a security deposit of 12,000 euros. In order to transfer these amounts immediately, an employee was accompanied by two officials to the bank to collect the money in cash. These workers also receive a temporary revenue ban and were shown from Germany.
