This day, the Budget Committee of the German Bundestag decided on the special monument protection program. The focus is on supporting the renovation of the historical music pavilion in the Wilde Rose Keller in Bamberg. The federal government will provide an amount of 250,000 euros to ensure that this gem over 150 year old.

a cultural highlight with history

The wild Rose Keller on the Stephansberg is known to many visitors from Bamberg. With 1500 places under chestnut trees, it is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The music pavilion, which was built between 1873 and 1875, is particularly impressive. With its wooden arches and ornaments, it is not only preserved in its original condition, but also serves as a venue for concerts and events today. Mayor Andreas Starke emphasizes the cultural importance of the pavilion for Bamberg, both with regard to the event tradition and the beer cellar aesthetics for which the city is known.

The urgently required renovation focuses primarily on the supporting structure of the pavilion and the restoration of the facade elements and inner components. As early as September, the measures should begin to ensure that the music pavilion shines in time for the 2025 beer cellar season in a new splendor. The federal government's financial support enables this cultural heritage to preserve and make future generations accessible.
