In the night of Tuesday, a teenager in Bamberg with two friends did a jaunt in his parents' car. The journey took a dramatic end when the police wanted to stop them. The driver gave the gas and lost control, which caused the car to break through the fence of a sewage treatment plant and land in the sewage basin. Shocking scenes when the vehicle sank completely into the water!
Fortunately, the 17-year-old driver and his two passengers were able to free themselves from the car, but the driver and a passenger were slightly injured. The fire brigade arrived to rescue the sunken car. The police report that the damage to the sewage treatment plant cannot yet be precisely quantified, but is probably considerable.
