Art snack at time: Discover Heinrich II in Bamberg!

Domplatz 8, 96049 Bamberg, Deutschland - The State Library Bamberg invites you to a special highlight on Thursday, October 17th, at 12.30 p.m.: a free tour of the current exhibition "Luminous miracle sign. The after life of Emperor Henry II in the early modern period". Dr. Stefan Knoch presents selected exhibits in a half -hour "art snack in the lunch break", which are shown on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the death of the medieval emperor and his wife, Empress Kunigunde.

The exhibition illuminates the significant history of the Holy Pair from 15 to the early 20th century. Visitors can look forward to woodcuts, early prints and scientific work on the medieval manuscripts donated by Heinrich and Kunigunde, as well as illustrations of their burial layers in the Bamberg Cathedral. Interested parties can find themselves without prior registration in the entrance area of the State Library, Domplatz 8 in Bamberg.
