Summer fun on the promenade: A-cappella music and Bamberg conjures up street festival
"Summer mood in Bamberg: An invitation to participate"
The city of Bamberg shines in the light of summer, and with it the "summer on the promenade" comes out in full splendor. A large number of activities await residents and visitors to the city, as was recently announced in a press release. Among other things, the program is enriched by A-cappella music and the popular street festival "Bamberg conjures up".
"Health and culture combines: yoga for all ages"
A highlight of the series of events is the yoga series "Yoganza-Yoga is Bamberg", which is offered free of charge. Every Tuesday, all interested parties have the opportunity to take part in varied yoga workshops, which are funded by the inner city funds of "Mitte.bamberg.2025". These workshops offer a variety of dynamic to relaxing exercises that are tailored to the needs of different age groups.
"Art in public space: an interactive exhibition"
In addition, the northern promenade becomes a open air on selected dates, in which the drawing systems of public space are played playfully. Participation of the public is expressly desired, while artists like Jan Vormann, Lena Maria Held and David Luis Grimm work together with passers -by to design public space.
"Bamberg in pictures: an exhibition of the common look"
Another facet of the "Summer on the Promenade" is shown by a photo exhibition of the VHS Bamberg City and the "Meet and" Meet and the International Federation. The exhibition invites citizens to share their own pictures of Bamberg with others and to talk about their personal perspectives.
"Sustainable urban development in the focus: Smart City Forum"
A discussion round on the subject of "Moving Bamberg sustainably" is organized by the Smart City Bamberg in cooperation with the VHS Bamberg Stadt and the Otto Friedrich University Bamberg. The discussion will shed light on both theoretical and practical approaches to the sustainable development of the city of Bamberg.
"Musical diversity and young talents"
At the height of the weekend, band from the Bamberg region will perform their music, while an information table from the University of Bamberg also informs about the study opportunities. The volunteer cultural association Bamberger Festival e.V. celebrates its 10th anniversary and gives an insight into the diverse music scene of the region.
"Close Harmony: from A-cappella to the magic of music"
The conclusion of the series of events is the A-cappella concert by Close Harmony. The four- to eight-tuning chants, dynamic arrangements and rousing choreographies promise an unforgettable music experience for all visitors. A festival for the senses and the soul that brings the magic of summer to life in the hearts of the listeners.
