The graduation elevator change in Bernau has been completed! Rolf Gerlach, the outgoing deputy chairman, attended the first meeting of the new senior advisory board and conveyed the best wishes to the committee with ten new members. The constituent session took place on October 8, 2024 in the historic town hall and was the prelude to the upcoming projects.

Unanimously, Bernd Falkenthal was elected as the new chairman, supported by the experienced deputies Monika Lieke and Marlies Winkler. Together they represent the interests of the city's senior citizens in the city council and actively deal with local political issues. At the first session, Birgit Lemke-Steinkopf, representative of the advisory board for people with disabilities, expressed the desire for more intensive cooperation between the committees, which met with great approval. The members practice their mandate until 2029 and the expectations are high!
