AfD integration of right-wing extremists: secret circumvention of the rules!
Würzburg, Deutschland - An internal list of the AfD comprises over 500 organizations that are incompatible with membership in the party, including the right -wing extremist National Democratic Party (NPD) and the Identity Movement (IB). Nevertheless, BR research showed that the AfD actively integrates members with a right-wing extremist past in Bavaria. An outstanding example is Tim Schulz, who sits on the board of the AfD district association in Munich-Land and at the same time is active at the Identitarian Movement, which is classified as extremist by the constitutional protection. Despite his connections to the IB, he was included in the committee, which questions the credibility of the AfD internal guidelines.
Another case concerns Dorian S. in Würzburg, who is known as a long -time supporter of the right -wing extremist scene and was also included in the AfD. The AfD state chief Stephan Protschka admits that it is difficult to check membership in such groups, while the constitutional protection authority doubts that the AfD seriously observes the incompatibility list. Against this background, the Bavarian SPD member of the Bundestag, Carmen Wegge, urgently calls for a prohibition procedure against the AfD and warns of the danger that a party is based on anti-constitutional elements.
