Asylum accommodation in Bad Tölz: Court stops controversial construction!
Bad Tölz, Deutschland - Bad Tölz (Bavaria) - The refugee crisis in Germany is heading! By the end of 2024, counties will have to accommodate around 195,000 new refugees, while it is expected that a total of around 260,000 asylum seekers will be accepted by the end of the year. In this tense environment, the Bavarian Administrative Court has now temporarily overridden the building permit for controversial asylum accommodation in Bad Tölz. The facility, which should accommodate almost 100 people, did not match the character of the residential area and was declared as a "black building".
Despite the lawsuit ongoing, the real estate investor started building. The court decided that the approved accommodation would dominate this neighborhood strongly and that there could be potentially noise conflicts because the residents are increasingly outdoors. According to the judgment, the refugees that had already been drawn were quickly overturned to other places, as the district office confirmed. After massive civil protests and complaints, the construction remains a controversial topic in the city, where the search for adequate accommodations is under pressure.
