CSU: Protect pharmacies in Bavaria - there is a need for action!
In a clear declaration of war on the impending crisis of the pharmacies in Bavaria, the CSU parliamentary group has passed a resolution in order to secure the nationwide supply of medicines. In view of the economic difficulties that many pharmacies are currently plaguing, central measures are required: the remuneration is to be increased, bureaucracy is to be reduced and mail order business is prohibited with prescription drugs. The CSU urgently warns of the impending pharmacy death that has already started and emphasizes the importance of these facilities for health care, especially in rural regions.
Klaus Holetschek, the chairman of the CSU parliamentary group, said that the pharmacies should not be let down as low-threshold health offers. Bernhard Seidenath, health policy spokesman for the CSU, also decidedly commented against the plans of the traffic light coalition to loosen the attendance obligation of pharmacists in branches and to establish “video pharmacies”. This could not only endanger the quality of the advice, but also lead to a repression competition that sets the existence of fully -supplying pharmacies. The resolution is intended to help maintain the decisive role of pharmacies in the German health system and to offer the under pressure.
