after the storm, triggered by ex-hurricane "Kirk", Bavaria is hit by rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. The German Weather Service (DWD) announced a cold front from the northwest, which brings cooler sea air into the Free State. Until lunchtime, stormy gusts of wind, especially in the high areas of the Alps, can be expected. There are even hurricane -like gusts on the highest peaks, which caused the Middle Franconia police station to warn of falling trees and falling branches. The Augsburg zoo remains closed due to the storm warning.

From noon, the storm should run away, but rain showers and thunderstorms are expected until the night of Friday. The temperatures reach maximum between 13 and 18 degrees, while they drop to up to 5 degrees at night. On Friday, the meteorologists announced a gradual withdrawal of the rain front towards the south, with Franconia expecting longer sunny phases. It looks better for the weekend: sunshine and up to 18 degrees in the Alpine foothills are on the program, especially on Sunday afternoon. Further information can be found here .
